El Salvador’s government has offered an incentive of $30 for starter bitcoin accounts to promote the use of the cryptocurrency. Although the country’s President has stated that the use of Bitcoin will not be mandatory, it will allocate $120 million to establish as many as 4 million starter Bitcoin accounts, or wallets.
